Guntur IT Commissionerate records 95.26 per cent growth

The Guntur Income Tax Commissionerate that covers Guntur, Prakasam and Nellore districts emerged as the top grosser by netting Rs. 756 crore in the financial year 2013-2014, recording an astounding growth rate of 95.26 per cent.
The tax collection was almost double the amount collected in 2012-2013, which stood at Rs. 387 crore. The collection of Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) stood at Rs. 404 crore.
